How should I prepare my yard for sod installation?

If we're handling installation, we'll take care of site preparation including old grass removal, soil grading, and leveling. If you're installing yourself, we recommend removing existing grass, tilling the soil, adding amendments if needed, and ensuring proper grading for drainage.

When should I water new sod?

New sod should be watered immediately after installation and kept consistently moist for the first 2-3 weeks. Water 2-3 times daily during the establishment period, then gradually reduce frequency as the roots take hold. We provide detailed watering schedules with every installation.

How long until I can mow new sod?

Wait 2-3 weeks before the first mowing to allow roots to establish. When you do mow, remove no more than 1/3 of the grass height. Use a sharp mower blade to avoid pulling up the new sod.
